If you have a valid license on the linked Microsoft account, but the local install doesn't recognize it:
Open Admin Command Prompt, change to the following folder (or similar depending on your version), the folder should have the file 'ospp.vbs' in it: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16 C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16 1: cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus 2: Run the following, changing ABCDE to the last 5 of the product key from the above command: cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:ABCDE 3: Restart the computer. You might only have to restart one of the Office apps instead of rebooting the whole computer, but if that doesn't work, restart the computer. 4: Open an office app and login to activate it. https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/48973-remove-and-re-add-license-key-for-office-2016-on-office-365 Usage cscript ospp.vbs /Option:Value ComputerName User Password ComputerName: Name of remote computer.
